Festival de percursión corporal como actividad de la clase de música en el Colegio Privado Internacional Eurocolegio Casvi

There are many benefits of music; of daily contact with it; of studying it… Above all, benefits for motor and intellectual development from an early age.  For this reason, at Eurocolegio Casvi International Private School, artistic and musical creativity has always been promoted in the classroom. And we have done so from the very first year of our pupils’ lives. What activities have we promoted? What tools have we used? During school hours or after school hours?

Activities to promote the benefits of music

At Casvi we have been pioneers in the introduction of measures that have made it possible for music classes to have the value they deserve in the school curriculum. These measures are combined with innovative activities such as the one shown in the video. Even our body can become the best of musical instruments.

With activities like this one on body percussion, it is easier to detect and enhance the musical talent of our students. And develop coordination, teamwork and problem-solving skills, as well as learning to compose new rhythms and achieve greater stage experience.

The following initiatives have also had an impact on this:

  1. Increase in the number of hours of music lessons.
  2. Music classes are taught by specialist teachers.
  3. This is done from the first cycle of Infant Education, which means that, at only five years of age, Casvi pupils are able to read simple scores with rhythm and notes.
  4. A wide variety of instruments are used to learn music: pianos, drums, bass, guitars (classical and electric), ukulele, or Orff instruments (xylophones and small percussion).
  5. The classes are eminently practical.
  6. New technologies are constantly used for the development of innovative creative projects.

Casvi Music School

All these measures have helped to create and strengthen the CASVI MUSIC SCHOOL. This extracurricular activity is aimed at all those who wish to specialise in the technical and interpretative learning of music. It has different levels from Infant School to Baccalaureate. Former pupils and parents can also take part in it.

In music all feelings return to their pure state and the world is nothing but music made real.
