Education is not only measured in terms of knowledge acquired in the classroom. It is also about the values that students put into practice in their daily lives. This has been demonstrated by the students of the 1st grade of Diploma Programme<\/a><\/strong> (IB) at Casvi Villaviciosa International School<\/a><\/strong>, who have carried out a collaborative solidarity project <\/strong>as part of the Creativity, Activity and Service (CAS)<\/a><\/strong> activities. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

CAS ACTIVITY: RAISING AWARENESS TO TRANSFORM<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The initiative had a clear objective: to foster empathy and social commitment from an early age. To this end, a group of Diploma Programme (IB)<\/strong><\/a> students designed and carried out talks and workshops aimed at children in primary school<\/a><\/strong>, in which they conveyed the importance of caring for and protecting animals in situations of abandonment. <\/p>\n

These sessions helped to raise awareness among students in lower grades. On the other hand, they also promoted essential values such as respect, responsibility and teamwork. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

A SOLIDARITY GYMKHANA WITH REAL IMPACT<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t

The final touch to the project was the celebration, on 7 February,<\/strong> of a great solidarity gymkhana<\/strong> in which pupils from different stages took part. The aim was to raise funds, material and food for the animals at the ALBA<\/a><\/strong> shelter. This organisation works to offer a second chance to abandoned animals. <\/p>\n

The event was not only a day full of excitement and fun. In addition to all this, it allowed the students to experience first-hand the positive impact of their actions on society. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
