As part of our responsibility and commitment as an educational community, at Eurocolegio Casvi International Private School we have launched a solidarity collection to help Valencia. The aim is to collect essential materials to support the people affected by the recent floods in Valencia. This action is being organised and coordinated by the students of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
URGENT NEEDS
The aim of this initiative is to collect basic necessities to help those who are having a difficult time due to the DANA. The donations we are asking for include:
– Sanitary and hygiene materials: disinfectants, bandages and personal hygiene products, essential to maintain adequate health conditions and prevent the spread of disease.
– Clean-up tools and equipment: wellington boots, buckets, mops and gloves, essential for clean-up and recovery work in affected areas.
– School supplies: crayons, coloured pencils, markers, erasers and other items to support the return to normality of children and young people in Valencia.
We will also accept additional products requested by Villaviciosa Town Council, as detailed in the attached poster and on their official website.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS CAMPAIGN TO HELP VALENCIA?
The collection will take place in our school from Monday 5th to Friday 8th November. We have set up donation boxes at the entrances of Building 1 (Secretary’s Office) and Building 3 (Preschool), so that both pupils and parents can deposit their contribution. Upper school pupils will be able to leave the material in their classrooms. From there, our student volunteers will collect and sort the donations.
DATE OF SHIPMENT
On Friday 8 November, all the materials collected will be sent to the collection point set up by Villaviciosa Town Council for subsequent delivery to Valencia.
We sincerely thank all the families who are able to collaborate. This type of action allows us to strengthen the spirit of solidarity and empathy that we share as an educational community. Together, we can make a difference.
