Entrepreneurship, creativity and business acumen have taken centre stage this week at the Casvi Villaviciosa International School. Following a fierce internal competition, we now know which teams will represent our school at the regional stage of the prestigious MBA League, to be held in Las Rozas. Meet them in this video.
WHAT IS THE MBA LEAGUE? INNOVATION AND THE FUTURE
For those unfamiliar with this format, the MBA League is an inter-university competition designed to spark and nurture students’ entrepreneurial skills. Based on case studies and business simulations, it challenges participants to solve complex problems, develop viable business plans and present their ideas to a panel of industry professionals.
As our coordinating lecturers point out, it is not just about learning about finance or marketing. It is about developing an “entrepreneurial mindset”: learning to spot opportunities, manage risk and present innovative solutions with confidence. In short, it offers our students a glimpse into their professional future.
Furthermore, this initiative, which forms part of our commitment to a well-rounded and practical education, enables students to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world business challenges. In this way, it fosters teamwork and critical thinking.
A high-level internal competition at CASVI Villaviciosa
Selecting the teams to represent the school has been no easy task. For weeks, several groups of students have been working on their projects, guided by their teachers and tutors. The internal competition has demonstrated the exceptionally high standard of preparation, the originality of the proposals and the passion our students put into every challenge.
After the students had presented their projects, the centre’s judging panel – comprising members of the teaching staff and management – assessed criteria such as the viability of the business model, the innovativeness of the proposed solution, the quality of the presentation, and the students’ ability to respond to the questions asked.
NEXT STOP: LAS ROZAS (COMMUNITY OF MADRID STAGE)
The next stage of the MBA League will take place in Las Rozas, where our teams will compete against the winners from other schools in the region. It will be a day of intensive learning. It will also be an opportunity for networking with other young entrepreneurs. And, of course, a unique chance to present their projects to a jury of experts from Madrid’s business ecosystem.
