Business meeting in Casvi Villaviciosa. A space for innovation and learning

Business meeting at Casvi Villaviciosa

The Casvi International School Villaviciosa has become the epicentre of innovation and territorial commitment to hosting a historic business meeting event. Close to 230 businesspeople and leaders of institutions have gathered at a conference organised under the auspices of the Federation of Entrepreneurs of Segovia (FES) and the Association of Segovian Entrepreneurs Abroad (AESE), reaffirming that education and business are two engines that must navigate together.

The event was attended by a large number of institutional representatives, led by Andrés Ortega, president of the FES; Juan Luis Yagüe, CEO of Colegios Casvi and president of AESE; Pedro Palomo, honorary president of AESE; the mayor of Segovia, José Mazarías Pérez; the president of the Chamber of Commerce, María José Tapia… Not to mention other mayors from the province and Madrid. This is the case of the councillors of the Town Councils of Villaviciosa de Odón, Boadilla del Monte, Tres Cantos, Valverde del Majano, and Martín Miguel, accompanied in some cases by their teams of councillors.

THE WISDOM OF EXPERIENCE: THE SPEECH BY MR JUAN YAGÜE

One of the most emotional and applauded moments of this business meeting was the speech by Mr Juan Yagüe, founder of the Casvi Schools and host of the meeting. With the warmth of someone who has dedicated his life to entrepreneurship and education, Mr. Juan connected with the audience through a message that combined nostalgia, commitment and a keen sense of humour.

“Being here today is not just a meal. It is reuniting with people who, like me, have made their work a commitment to this land that we love: Segovia”, said Mr. Juan, emphasising his unwavering conviction in the value of the province. “Every company that is born and is maintained in this province has behind it people who get up early, who take risks and who do not give up or surrender”.

Mr Juan did not shy away from the challenges of today, such as depopulation or the brain drain of young talent: “How can we get them to come back? The Segovia we want is not just a beautiful place to visit; it is a place to live, work and prosper.”. To conclude his speech, and at the request of his friend Pedro Ayuso, the founder of Casvi —showing off his training in philosophy — brought smiles to the faces of those present with a philosophical syllogism ” syllogism philosophical” about prudence and stubbornness, concluding with a a51> toast that celebrated the resilience of the businessman from Segovia.

CONNECTION BETWEEN EDUCATION AND BUSINESS

The conference also provided food for thought on the link that should always exist between education and business.

For his part, “I am concerned about the connection between the two. If we want Segovia to have a future, we need young people with a culture of hard work, an entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to take on responsibility. That is why business and education cannot go their separate ways. We need more dialogue, more collaboration, more bridges… Because talent cannot be improvised, it is built. And the example we set as entrepreneurs is a fundamental part of that construction,” said Juan Luis Yagüe, CEO of Colegios Casvi and president of the Association of Segovian Entrepreneurs Abroad, in his speech.

A CLOSING FOR THIS MEETING BUSINESS WITH FLAVOUR OF TRADITION THE FAMOUS CÓCIDO OF CASVI

As expected, the finishing touch was provided by the traditional stew prepared by the kitchen team at Casvi Villaviciosa International School. This dish, the restaurant’s signature dish, served as the perfect metaphor for the encounter: a process that requires patience, slow cooking and the finest ingredients to achieve an excellent result.

More than just a gastronomic tasting, the lunch was the ideal setting to strengthen ties and join forces among Segovians working both inside and outside the province. The meeting reaffirmed that the path to the future is built with a global and proactive mindset, but always keeping our roots firmly planted in the ground.
