Grandparents’ Day is an event designed to strengthen the bonds between generations and recognise the fundamental role that grandparents play in the education and emotional development of children.
This year, the celebration was full of special moments. The day began with a warm breakfast of chocolate with churros in our dining room. There, families, grandparents and grandchildren shared a moment of conviviality before giving way to the big surprise of the day. The theatrical show “Historias de un Castillo” (Stories of a Castle), starring the Preschool Education pupils of 2, 3 and 4 years old. They were joined by the Casvi Theatre Groups.
A JOURNEY BACK TO MEDIEVAL TIMES THROUGH THE THEATRE
The Casvi Villaviciosa sports centre was transformed into an authentic medieval castle to host different theatrical performances in which the pupils demonstrated their talent and enthusiasm:
- “The Half Moon Castle” (2 years). The youngest children took to the stage for the first time, giving moments of tenderness and emotion.
- “Castles, knights, princesses…” (3 years old). A medieval adventure that transported the audience to a world of magic and fantasy.
- “A dance in the castle” (4 years old). With a carefully staged performance, the 2nd year pupils closed the day with a performance full of elegance and joy.
Each performance was a showcase of the children’s teamwork, creativity and effort. All without exception, despite their nerves, managed to thrill the audience with their performances.

Grandparents’ Day is not only an opportunity to pay tribute to grandparents, but also an event with a great impact on children’s development:
