The Graduation of the Baccalaureate (Class XXXIX) and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (Class XIV) of this academic year 2024-25 in Casvi Villaviciosa has been, without a doubt, one of the most emotional moments of the year. An event full of symbolism, memories, pride and a lot of emotion that brought together students, families, teachers and also former students. All of this in a ceremony that perfectly reflected the Casvi spirit.

ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE WITH ITS OWN NAME
During the Baccalaureate Graduation ceremony, students who have completed this stage with exceptional grades were also recognised. All of this is the result of the effort, perseverance and passion for learning that we always promote at Casvi Villaviciosa International School.
The outstanding students were:
Hugo Álvarez Sevilla, Raúl Ceballos Calderón, Paula Escudero Gómez, Miguel Ángel Fernández Gómez, Lucía Gordillo Arenas, Ignacio Granados Gómez, Noa Jiménez Ceballos, Irene Lorenzo Bastos, Mar de Luis Lucas, Álvaro del Moral García, Fernando Javier Navarro Horcajada, Adriana Orcoyen Rodríguez, Carlota Rey Reina, África Serrano Díaz and Olivia Yagüe Salido.
Special mention should be made of Mar de Luis Lucas, who has been recognised with the course’s Honours Award. A symbol of exemplary academic excellence.
THE CLOSING OF A STAGE... AND THE BEGINNING OF NEW GOALS
This emotional ceremony, held in the school’s sports centre – transformed for the occasion into a solemn and festive space – marked the end of a crucial stage in the lives of our students. The Baccalaureate Graduation is much more than a farewell. It is the celebration of a road travelled with effort, enthusiasm, learning and personal growth.
The words of affection from their teachers, the presentation of bands and diplomas, and the students’ looks full of hope for the future, made it clear that what they have lived in Casvi Villaviciosa has been, for them, an experience that goes far beyond the academic.
RETURNING ALUMNI... TO ACCOMPANY THEIR CHILDREN
One of the most symbolic and emotional moments of the event was undoubtedly that of several former students of the school, who are now parents of graduating students. Daniel Lence Díaz, José Alfonso García García, María Teresa García Calvo, Soledad Santos Sobrino and Alberto Lucas Feijoo experienced the emotion of personally handing their children the commemorative pin of the graduating class. It is a gesture that symbolises the continuity of Casvi’s educational project throughout the generations.
An act full of meaning, which demonstrates how the feeling of belonging to the Casvi family endures beyond the years.
A GODMOTHER WITH A CASVI SOUL
The godmother of the event was another very special alumna: Tatiana Portillo Pavlović, mother of a primary school pupil. With her speech she managed to move and motivate everyone present. Her speech was a hymn to resilience, to fulfilled dreams and to the importance of making the most of every experience. A testimony that connected with the students from the closeness and inspiration.
THE MORE HUMAN FACE OF A GRADUATION
And although the academic event was the main focus of the day, there was also room for hugs, photos with friends, reunions and gestures. All of this will remain forever etched in the memory of all those present. Because, as we say in Casvi, a Baccalaureate Graduation does not only mark the end of a cycle… It marks the beginning of the future.
