For yet another year, we have once again demonstrated that, at Casvi Villaviciosa, solidarity runs faster than any obstacle. The second edition of the Solidarity Race against Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and Leukaemia, organised by the 1st year students of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, was once again a resounding success. Our entire educational community took part in it: students, teachers and families.

CHARITY RUN: AN EVENT WITH HEART

This year, the objective of this solidarity race has been maintained: to give visibility to these diseases and raise funds to improve the quality of life of hospitalised children facing them. All in collaboration with the Unoentrecienmil Foundation.

THE VOICE OF EXPERIENCE

Ana, a student and survivor of this tough battle, was again the inspirational driving force behind the event. “During my treatment, I met children who, in addition to dealing with the disease, had to overcome financial and logistical barriers to access basic resources. From toys to school supplies to a place to stay close to the hospital,” shares Ana.

Thanks to the work of associations such as 1001 Hopes, these little heroes and their families can count on essential support: from refrigerators and free television in the rooms to temporary housing for those who must travel from other cities to receive treatment.

MORE THAN A SOLIDARITY RACE

This charity run not only raises funds; it also brings us together as a community. Every step on the track represents hope, empathy and commitment. Once again, our Diploma Programme students have shown that education is much more than imparting knowledge – it is about developing people who make a difference.

Thank you all for participating and collaborating! Let’s keep running together towards a future full of hope and opportunity for those who need it most.
