The III Race Against Cancer, held last Sunday next to the Eurocolegio Casvi facilities in Villaviciosa de Odón, brought together the community of Madrid in a day of solidarity in which students, parents, teachers and volunteers participated, as well as residents of the Community of Madrid. The proceeds will go entirely to the Asociación contra el Cáncer, organiser of the event.
THE COMMITMENT OF THE CASVI EDUCATIONAL COMMUNITY
The organisation of this charity run by the Association Against Cancer would not have been possible without the joint effort of the entire Casvi Educational Community.
From the management team and maintenance staff, who took care of every logistical detail, to the students of the Diploma Programme, International Baccalaureate, who actively participated as volunteers. These students took on key support roles. They demonstrated their commitment and dedication to the cause. As a result, they gained valuable experience in volunteering and collaboration. And, of course, there was no shortage of participation from teachers, parents, students and alumni, who joined the race, showing their solidarity at every step.
Overall, this collaboration highlighted the values of unity and commitment that characterise the Casvi family and its involvement in causes of social impact.
SYMBOLIC AND SOLIDARITY VICTORIES
Among all the winners in the men’s category, the victory of the head of the Casvi Boadilla Athletics Club, Antonio Cerezo, who stood out not only for his performance. This group also won the prize for the most participative.
In conclusion, the race was not only a demonstration of strength and overcoming, but also a symbol of hope for all those fighting cancer.
The proceeds from this year’s Race Against Cancer will go entirely to the Cancer Association, a source of pride for all those who participated in and supported the event.
Once again, Casvi has shown that great things can be achieved together. And that solidarity is the engine that drives every step towards a better world.
