At Eurocolegio Casvi, we have always been aware that social commitment and training in values must hold a primary place in our commitment to the comprehensive education of our students. To this end, since the beginning we have worked with different NGOs.
However, it was in 2006 that the foundations were laid for the founding of the Casvi Foundation. Its aim is to involve our entire educational community in doing works for the common good, aimed at favouring the poorest sectors of society, both in Spain and internationally.
For its first project, volunteers travelled to Piura (Peru), to one of the neediest districts of the city, to build a three storey building with funding supplied by Casvi.
Today, this building houses a vocational training centre. Specialised studies are offered there like:
The building also has a dining hall, which provides meals to 140 people every day, including children and elderly without resources.
Several containers were also sent to Piura (Peru) loaded with:
The foundation also cooperates with other associations like Cáritas, AIMA or “Banco de Alimentos”.
Charity projects in which we have taken part over the course of the 14 years of the foundation’s history, which have always made us feel like we were the ones learning and being helped, more than those providing aid. This has helped us to impart values to our students, by letting them discover realities that we should all support and try to understand.
