Once again this year, the last day of the school year was used to celebrate a big solidarity party all day long, in which students, teachers and families took part. The proceeds from the event will go to the Casvi Foundation. And specifically, to its project in Piura, Peru, which this year has celebrated its 16th anniversary. The coordinator there, Father Luis Arrasco, tells us.
ACTIVITIES OF THE END-OF-YEAR SOLIDARITY PARTY
CROSS
The morning began with the celebration of a Cross Country Race in which our pupils from the first cycle of Kindergarten Education to the 6th year of Primary Education took part in each category.
INDOOR FOOTBALL AND BASKETBALL TOURNAMENTS
Both competitions were attended by pupils from different grades of Primary School. The champions of both the Futsal and Basketball Tournaments received their medals in the afternoon, during the end of the school year party.
Our Secondary students acted as referees for the matches. Solidarity and volunteering in equal parts.
COOPERATIVE GAMES
Both Kindergarten and Primary pupils played the cooperative games prepared for this end of year party in solidarity with the Casvi Foundation and the Secondary pupils also participated as volunteers in the development of these fun games.
EXHIBITION ROOTS
It was made up of the works submitted to the VIII Casvi Creativity Competition. A special place was given to the winning entries. The winners of the first prize, after a popular vote, received their award during this same end-of-year party,
ARTISTIC PERFORMANCES
The festival also featured musical performances by students from the School of Dance, the School of Music …. As well as professional dancers from Peru.
INFLATABLES, CHARITY MARKET, TOMBOLA...
In addition to the charity raffle, money was raised for the Casvi Foundation in many different ways: a street market, tombolas, bouncy castles…
SOLIDARITY RAFFLE
All proceeds have gone to the Casvi Foundation’s solidarity project in Piura (Peru).
CASVI FACTOR
Competition organised by the English Department in which pupils from Casvi Villaviciosa from 2nd to 6th Primary participated with their choreographies.
