ADMISSIONS EN CASVI VILLAVICIOSA

Middle Years Program in Spain

At Eurocolegio Casvi International Private School, unlike other Middle Years Program in Spain our objective is to prepare our students to reach the Diploma Programme (IB) with all the guarantees of success. Fundamental premise of the International Baccalaureate methodology, implemented in Casvi Villaviciosa through the Continuum of Programmes (PYP in Kingergarten and Primary Education, MYP and DP). As it happened in previous stages, Kindergarten and Primary School, it will open the doors of the best national and international universities with the best qualifications.

The key to this is to be a benchmark for international and global education, quality and innovation.

A work that leads us once again to an IB learner profile (inquirers, open-minded, informed and educated, thinkers, good communicators, upright, reflective, bold, caring and balanced).

SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN MADRID: CASVI AND ITS VALUES

Within the Middle Years Program in Spain, our mission is to make our students grow intellectually and personally. This is achieved through the promotion of a series of values that are worked on in a transversal way in all stages and, of course, in the private and bilingual Secondary School.

Among them, we find trust, communication and commitment between family and school; coherence as an educational tool; sincerity and honesty; respect and tolerance; perseverance and perseverance; empathy, making our students’ concerns and goals our own; understanding; enthusiasm; and responsibility, since we know that their future is in our hands.

MIDDLE YEARS PROGRAM IN SPAIN: INQUIRY AS A KEY TO LEARNING

Inquiry continues to be the key to learning at the secondary, private, bilingual stage. Cycle through which the student learns through research, questions… And does so in a profound way in order to achieve lasting learning (valuable outside the classroom and for life).

Within the Middle Years Program in Spain the students of the International Private School Eurocolegio Casvi, face a complex world full of challenges in an interdisciplinary way, as well as the development of skills for them. Learning will be concept-based.

LANGUAGES AND TECHNOLOGIES, A FUNDAMENTAL ROLE IN OUR MADRID HIGH SCHOOL

There are three keys to this learning process:

LANGUAGES

The languages taught at our private and international Secondary level remain four: English, German, Chinese and Spanish for our international students. Any of these languages are worked in small groups according to level (in a total of four). Conversation classes are taught by native teachers. The level reached by our students at the end of this stage allows them to sit for a C2 level in the University of Cambridge exams.

LANGUAGE EXCHANGES

In continuity with the one offered to Tulsa (USA) in 5th grade Primary School, our Middle Years Program in Spain offers different Language Exchanges with schools in Germany and USA: Minnesota and Virgin Islands. Also with Canada, with a school located in the city of Winnipeg.

NEW TECHNOLOGIES

New technologies as an educational tool. The iPads stand out, in which they continue to find the curriculum developed by teachers throughout the entire stage. They use them in their classroom research as a substitute for textbooks.

In addition, to support these technological needs, there is the subject “Technology Programming and Robotics”. Continuing with the basics acquired during the Infant and Primary Schools, they foster development skills in programming, design, 3D digital design and 3D printing.

The same is true in the field of sports.

It is also when they works by International Baccalaureate methodology on action and service, awareness, environment… All this through an IB tool which is “Service Learning”. With it our students put into practice the knowledge and skills acquired in a real way. And they do so by carrying out projects that benefit society as a whole.

And just as in Primary School, this stage will conclude with a personal project. in which the student will demonstrate all the skills and abilities acquired through disciplinary and interdisciplinary learning criteria. An in-depth inquiry that will demonstrate the assimilation of the attributes of the IB profile and prepare them for the elaboration of the one they will later have to do in the Diploma Programme.
