WHAT HAVE WE ACHIEVED WITH THIS CELEBRATION?
- Encourage imagination and creativity at all ages.
- Work on emotions, such as fear or insecurity, in a safe environment.
- Promote empathy and mutual respect through team play.
- Promote self-acceptance and acceptance of others through diverse costumes.
- Develop gross and fine motor skills through performances, crafts, and movement.
- Reforzar la mentalidad internacional, al explorar y reflexionar sobre los orígenes de Halloween.
A CONNECTION TO CULTURAL TRADITION
At school, we also take the opportunity to explain the origins of Halloween: a holiday with roots in the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, which marked the end of the harvest, and in traditions such as All Hallows’ Eve. This approach not only provides historical context, but also nurtures our students’ cultural understanding.
WHY THIS HALLOWEEN IS DIFFERENT AT CASVI VILLAVICIOSA
Because it’s not just a party: it’s an educational opportunity. With our IB methodology, we transform fear into reflection, tradition into learning, and fun into cooperation.
