ADMISSIONS EN CASVI VILLAVICIOSA

Casvi Villaviciosa is taking part in the 11th edition of the Endesa Foundation’s RetoTech

Pupils from secondary school at Casvi Villaviciosa are enter the Retotech Endesa Foundation competition

Our students from 3TH grade of Secondary Education have taken up the challenge of the Endesa Foundation to transform education through the use of technology. In this issue of RetoTech, the team has developed “The Colour of Inclusion” , a project that aims to address a real need: cognitive and sensory accessibility in artistic activities.

TECHNOLOGY AT THE SERVICE OF PEOPLE

The project consists of an automatic colour-mixing machine designed specifically for people with colour blindness, autism or Down’s syndrome. In line with the requirements of the Secondary School category of the RetoTech Fundación Endesa competition, the system incorporates:

  • Advanced robotics: Use of technology-based kits Arduino for controlling pumps and sensors.
  • Android app: An app designed on the Bitbloq platform that replaces technical colour names with everyday images, such as strawberries for red or the sky for blue.
  • Sustainable Design and 3D Printing: The chassis has been made from recycled materials and 3D-printed parts designed by the students themselves.

THE ROAD TO THE RETOTECH ENDESA FOUNDATION FINAL FESTIVAL

RetoTech Fundación Endesa is not just a competition; it is an innovation programme that includes training for teachers and ongoing support to ensure the technical quality of the work.

The project will be presented by our students at the Final Festival, where a jury from Endesa will assess the originality, its applicability to a real need and the aesthetic quality of the prototype.

For Casvi School, this challenge represents a unique opportunity to develop STEAM skills whilst fostering empathy and social engagement in our classrooms. Good luck to everyone!
