Students from 2nd and 3rd grade of Secondary Educativon of Eurocolegio Casvi International Private School are living a unique experience thanks to our Language Exchange Program. On this occasion, with the Lakes International Languages Academy (LILA), located in Forest Lakes, Minnesota (USA). For the next six weeks, these young people will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a new culture, improve their English and create friendships that will last a lifetime. An exchange with Minnesota that has already been repeated in previous years.
MINNESOTA EXCHANGE: MAIN OBJECTIVE
With this programme known as “Minnesota Exchange“, we seek to achieve a fundamental objective: to promote language learning and intercultural understanding. In addition, Casvi Villaviciosa students stay with local families, which allows them to experience first-hand the daily life in the United States.
In addition, they will participate in a variety of academic and extracurricular activities with their American classmates at LILA. Like us, their methodology is based on the International Baccalaureate.
“It is an incredible opportunity for our students. Not only do they improve their level of English, but they also develop social and cultural skills that will be very useful in the future,” says Luisa Morreale, coordinator of the Language Exchange Programme at Eurocolegio Casvi International Private School.
During their stay, the students will visit Minnesota landmarks, participate in joint projects and attend classes at the Lakes International Language Academy. In this way, this exchange not only enriches the students academically. It also gives them a global perspective and a greater understanding of cultural diversity.
OTHER LANGUAGE EXCHANGES
This exchange with Minnesota is one of the many initiatives of Casvi Villaviciosa to offer a comprehensive and quality education to its students. In this way, it prepares them for the challenges of the globalised world. We cannot forget the international character of our school in which four languages are taught: English, German, Chinese and Spanish for foreign students.
The Casvi Language Exchange Programme is a fundamental part of the school’s educational philosophy. From these international experiences, it seeks to provide a comprehensive and quality education, preparing students to be citizens of the world.
They are organised without any kind of intermediary agency, through direct contact with schools all over the world. And it has a variety of destinations: the United States (Tulsa, Oklahoma, Minnesota, Virgin Islands…), Canada and Germany.
All pupils who wish to take part in them, from the age of 10 (Primary School) up to and including Baccalaureate.
